ICT/computing update day for teachers with recent programming experience
For post primary teachers with recent programming experience, this is a full day awareness event designed to bring ICT/computing teachers up to date with recent trends in ICT/computing.
The day will include :
an overview of current computing languages and technology
an introduction to how mobile devices such as the Apple iPhone are programmed
information on college provision for students and teachers
a hands on workshop designed to meet the needs of those attending
a chance to network with other ICT/computing teachers
Places are strictly limited to 20 teachers per day and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The acknowledgement you receive upon registering your interest on this site is *not* confirmation. Confirmation will be emailed to you as soon as places are filled.
Substitute teacher funding provided by the Department of Education will be available to your school - travel and subsistence is not. (Substitute teacher funding will be claimed via Momentum and details will be provided in the information sent to you).
Tea and coffee will be provided but lunch will not, a canteen is available should you wish to purchase lunch. Parking at the college is not available - but there are several pay car parks in the vicinity.
