2010 ICT computing update day for teachers Jordanstown

For post primary ICT/computing teachers this is a full day awareness event designed to bring ICT/computing teachers up to date with recent trends in ICT/computing.

It will be held at the University of Ulster Jordanstown campus.

The day will include:

  • an overview of current computing and employment trends
  • an introduction to university provision and courses
  • an introduction to self teach modules for teachers and pupils
  • an introduction to fun and inspirational programming tools and languages
  • a chance to network with other ICT/computing teachers
  • Places are strictly limited to 20 teachers per day and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The acknowledgement you receive upon registering your interest on this site is *not* confirmation. Confirmation will be emailed to you as soon as places are filled.

    Substitute teacher funding provided by the Department of Education will be available to your school - travel and subsistence is not. (Substitute teacher funding will be claimed via Momentum and details will be provided in the information sent to you).

    Tea and coffee and lunch will be provided by the School of Computing and Mathematics. Parking is avaiable at the University but is not free.
