Support Technicians have a very broad scope of what we can do within a company. Generally we look after most of a company’s IT/network infrastructure, jobs can range from hardware upgrades to server installs, we can also deal with equipment purchasing and researching new systems and software. What you are able to do really depends on the IT structure of the company.
Work in Commercial Property Sales for a year, moved over to IT department within same company, then moved on to fixed term contract as a Helpdesk Support Technician, in an IT training company, then 9 months later joined BVR as a Computer Technician have been here almost 2 years.
Moving on to an IT Manger or Project Manager roles before I am 30. Five years left!
