JOB TITLE: Sales Engineer Manager of EMEA Tech Team
To support the sales team with technical resource at meetings, for web-based demos, conference calls, tenders etc. In addition, when on site with customers post-sale to look for upgrade and additional selling opportunities to increase out solution footprint within the account.
To liaise with the US product development teams, support teams and R&D teams to ensure that the EMEA teams’ technical knowledge is up to the minute.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Started working life as an internal technical support person, working my way through promotions and moving organisations to head up the technical sales teams. Previous employers include; Sophos, Content Technologies (acquired by Baltimore), CipherTrust (acquired by Secure Computing), currently at Proofpoint.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Good inter-personal skills, team player.
- Computing technical background, not necessarily within the arena of the company.
- Interest in technology.
- Business interest.
