More About Me

COMPANY: Milo Creative

JOB TITLE: Managing Director

As Managing Director, I’m responsible for new business development, concept development and overseeing projects within Milo. This involves managing the entire process for each project from start to finish. Projects and teams vary dramatically in size and nature depending on the client and user needs.

RELATED DEGREE:

BA (Hons) Fine Art and Critical Theory – 1st class

WORK EXPERIENCE:

As co-founder of Milo, I have found the perfect medium to develop my passions for art, new media and politics.
Having obtained a distinction my degree in Fine Art and Critical Theory at Goldsmiths college, I became involved in organising video installations. During this time, I exhibited in leftfield Hoxton venues such as The Lux, and even attempted to turn a derelict house into a video art project.

As the Internet became a more prevalent medium, my interest shifted, as I saw its potential to be the great forum for the democratization of media. I’m fascinated by online communities, forums and the opportunities they provided for sharing and self-publishing outside the gallery scene. This led to becoming involved with multimedia. I hustled for work in this area, and landed at Okupi, a company that focused in online 3D communities, where I eventually became Creative Director. Since 2002, I have been at the helm of Milo creative, and continue to bring together art, society and education in the world of online media.
