JOB TITLE: Interaction Designer

Developing online educational interactive activities (some of which can be labelled video-games). My role includes: Flash (Actionscript) programming, interface design, concept/research and testing.

RELATED DEGREE:

BA Communication Design at Politecnico di Milano (Italy) followed by an MA in Communication Design (digital media specialisation) at Central Saint Martins College, London.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Worked at some self-initiated projects and college initiatives that would grant me some visibility and build up my portfolio. Employed by Milo as an intern while still studying, I was then offered a full-time position after I graduated.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Creative flair and innovative thought processes.
  • Good knowledge of design concepts, methods and practices.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to multi-task, putting forward different projects at the same time.
  • Programming knowledge of Flash and Actionscript, as well as an awareness of other languages and formats.
  • Solid knowledge of design software, such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Time management skills to meet a deadline with realistic expectations.
  • Good client liaison skills to negotiate a brief and the ability to describe the visuals before the wireframes have been created.
