MySpace brings music out of the web and into the classroom… Watch the video to see how an idea to bring the latest bands to a UK school turned into a fully fledged ‘School Invasions’ competition.

MySpace UK is giving 14-18 year olds a once in a lifetime chance to host a school party with some of the biggest names in the music industry!

Students can visit the School Invasions profile to enter their school in the competition. The prize includes an all-expenses paid party with appearances from Kate Nash, Dizzee Rascal, The Wombats, DJ Ironik and Fightstar. The school that receives the most votes on the profile will host the event.

As well as winning their own exclusive party, the school will receive £10,000 worth of music equipment and a music masterclass with an established band. As part of the workshop, the band will share tales of how they got started and offer tips and advice about getting into the music industry.

Here you can listen to the team who helped create the campaign and learn how School Invasions was turned from an idea into reality.
