No more feeling like you need another holiday on your return…

E-tickets

5am – first day of your holiday – No more panicked moments when you (or your parents) realise the tickets are still pinned to the notice board under last week’s lottery ticket in the kitchen. No more disastrous discoveries that your ticket floated unnoticed to the floor of the taxi as you fumbled for money to pay. E-tickets mean we can book over the web and there is no ticket to lose as it exists only as a digital record in airline computers. It does of course mean people need to be able to access and use the internet in the first place (sorry, great aunt Ethel).

Online on time…

You can now check-in online and print off your own boarding pass. Go straight to baggage drop off at the airport and avoid the queues and screaming kids. Another example of how technology is making our lives more efficient and giving us more time to spend buying CDs, cosmetics and ridiculous oversized Toblerones in duty free!

Don’t pass up an e-passport

These are normal passports with a small chip implant in the back cover. They contain the same data displayed in the passport itself and have an additional digital photo for biometric identification purposes. So a double whammy for security…technology is infiltrating every aspect of our lives. Dive head first into it, learn about it, and make it part of your future.
