Travel the Globe
Wherever you may Rome…
Spying on your neighbours
For those of you that haven’t already used it, Google Earth takes the online map to new heights (and depths!) – for the past couple of years since it launched it has been providing maps for free to the whole of the web, using photographs taken by satellites hovering in orbit above us.
Down to Earth with a bang
Google Earth have taken to the streets in specialised cars with cameras attached, slowly but surely plotting their way round the world’s major cities so you can get a ‘Street View’ of exactly where you’re going.
So far they have covered many areas of the USA and a couple in Alaska, but now the cars have been spotted trawling through the streets of Rome – scaring the locals who think it’s a new security measure!
