Overview of SRC:

Southern Regional College comprises of the former FE colleges at Armagh, Newry and Upper Bann. There are a total of 6 campuses across the geographical region and the College incorporates four council districts. Southern Regional College caters for approximately 35,000 students each year and has in excess of 1,100 members of staff. The College offers a wide range of courses: in excess of 100 courses for full-time further education; in excess of 80 courses on a full-time & part-time higher education capacity and; in excess of 1320 courses (not counting those courses offered in the community) on a part-time vocational & recreational basis.

Overview of IT provision across SRC:

All students have access to over 3500 networked high quality computer workstations through out the college. Students are given access to FREE printing facilities. Interactive whiteboards are located in classrooms to enable interactive learning and teaching. Lecturers can publish lessons, assignments and other resources for students to access in the College or remotely on iT Campus the College MLE (Managed Learning Environment).

    This course will be of interest to anyone who has a good basic knowledge of IT and has an interest in the field of multimedia, the internet and the design of websites. The aim of the course is to develop. There are two units. The first unit aims to enable students to produce interactive web pages that have multimedia content. It will cover the creation of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) code through to the inclusion of Java Applets to enhance web page design and production.
