About Us
Bringitonni is an IT careers attractiveness designed by e-skills UK, a not-for-profit, employer-led organisation licensed by government as the Sector Skills Council for Business and Information Technology. As part of the Future Skills Action Plan for IT, and in conjunction with the Department of Employment and Learning, Invest NI and Momentum this web site primary aim is to attract teenagers towards education and careers within the IT sector. No easy task when you realise that for teenagers IT is synonymous with the IT crowd!
The initiative focuses on helping 14-19 year olds make informed choices in an inspiring and accessible way – stimulating demand among young people for technology-related degrees and careers plus improving the gender imbalance in IT.
Bringitonni is designed to be both high impact and student centered. This means that it is goal orientated; intuitive; accessible and useful so that it can be tailored to individual needs and wants. The site offers a host of features as well as articles about specifically targeted technology relevant to the teenage audience – including companies specific to NI, social networking, gaming, fashion, music and so on – in order to show young people that technology forms a crucial element to their lives and that careers in IT can be both relevant and rewarding!
We also have university, company and employee profiles which showcase a number of companies, their inspirational uses of technology and some of the people behind that technology. In addition, there is a section of the website dedicated to parents to accurately inform them of the IT sector through LMI and senior ambassador videos.
Therefore if you are interested in becoming involved in any of the areas mentioned above, or would be keen to host a competition, please do not hesitate to get in touch:
